1. Promote Green IT Practices:
Advocate for more companies in Hong Kong to adopt green IT practices, such as using energy-efficient servers and promoting digital sustainability.
2. Beyond Mandatory ESG Regulations:
Encourage companies to go beyond meeting mandatory ESG regulations by enhancing their sustainability efforts, such as consistently tracking and improving their initiatives.
3. Increase Employee Engagement:
Advocate for more companies to host sustainability training programs specifically tailored for Hong Kong-based employees.

As a Hong Kong and UK qualified architect (HKIA/RIBA), a chartered constructor (CIOB), and a fire engineer (SFPE), he has extensive experience in project management, building and infrastructure design, construction, costing and the impact on the environment.

Mr Yonghai Du is the General Manager of the Green Living and Innovation Division of Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). Dedicated in environmental engineering and service fields for more than 20 years, he has extensive experience and business insights covering a broad range of environmental and industrial segments including water and wastewater treatment technology development, waste treatment and management, air quality control solutions, carbon capture and utilisation technologies for power and industries.
Prior to joining HKPC, Mr Du worked for a large international company to manage and operate the global fleet and portfolio of environmental control solutions by EPC and consultancy service projects. Mr Du holds master’s degree in Environmental Protection Engineering. He is among the first approved Registered Environmental Protection Engineer of China in 2008.

Barton is specialised in the Indoor Air Quality filed since 1999, with more than 22 years of experience in IAQ consultancy services. He is currently the Chairman of IAQ Committee of the Greater Bay Area Institute of Urban Architecture (HK), and the Life Ordinary Member of the Hong Kong Registered Specialist Contractors (Ventilation) Association.
During the SARS period in 2003, Barton was the only representative in the field being consulted by Ms. Sarah Mary Liao Sau-tung, the then Secretary of Environmental, Transport and Works Bureau, to recommend methods for IAQ infection control. The IAQ solutions Barton recommended was implemented in 41 public hospitals, curbing the spread of the disease. For their effectiveness, those solutions have since then been applied in all public hospitals.
Barton is a frequent speaker at IAQ-related lectures and seminars. As well, he is often interviewed by local newspapers and TV stations for expert opinion on topics related to air quality.

That HK Government will not only unite all sectors to help Hong Kong advance to prosperity, but also take more proactive initiatives to formulate and implement effective environmental protection policies.
